When I was about 4 or 5 I saw my mother pull a bent nail out or our porch. Straighten it and then hammer it back in place. That led to a fascination with the hammer and nail. As a kid I would build all kinds of things like Go-carts, scooters etc. from salvaged parts. Then I began building club houses again from mostly salvaged parts. During Middle school I began taking woodworking and some craft classes into High school. Later in High School and in College I went on to pursue a career in auto mechanics. Although I became a certified Mechanic I never had the desire to be a auto mechanic and start working as a chemical operator that could sometime be very stressful. Although I had never strayed away from woodworking too long I began to notice the coming affect it had on me. That renewed my passion for woodworking even more. I make just about anything that can be made from wood. If I had to choose a favorite style of woodworking I would probably choose shaker.
