Joan Peter's Profile

About

I love the outdoors and all things natural. I try to make my rustic furnishings look like they would be right at home if put back into the natural world they came from. I collect many materials myself, and buy only recycled or reclaimed materials. I love the look of different colors and textures of wood put together, and the way different woods feel to the touch. I love dogs, kayaking, mushrooming, beachcombing and, yes, I'll admit it, watching (good) tv. Oh, and beer. I have a background in archaeology, graphic arts, video production and writing. I live in Hansville, WA, a tiny place on Hood Canal where heron, osprey and eagles nest and the clams practically pop up out of the sand for us to feast on.
