Born and raised in Michigan but living out my Golden years in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Married to the most wonderful man for the past 31 years. No children but two very spoiled tiny Chihuahuas. I've lived in over 12 different states, from big cities to the smallest of towns and everything in between. But each morning when I see the sun rise over the mountain and the beauty that surrounds me, I know I am finally home and can't imagine a more peaceful place to rest my soul.
I grew up in a simpler time, when doilies were used on dressers and end tables and such, and tablecloths were used instead of place mats. Curtains were sewn from pretty fabrics you got from the 5 & Dime. And if your over 50 who can forget the feel of those crisp cotton sheets against your skin on a warm summer night or the wonderful fresh smell from being hung on the clothesline to dry.
