About

With a wonderful son to care for, passions to pursue, projects to complete and the desire to stay in touch with friends near and far, I’m never at a loss for things to do. By blood I am an artist but have spent most of my years working in less creative ways than I’d like. Time to change that! No matter what I’ve been doing though, the travel lust has been a firm constant. I truly believe that if we all were able to see more of the world we’d have a kinder, gentler planet guided by understanding, inclusion, love for humanity and appreciation for all of the earth’s environments, cultures, foods and art. Besides travel, my passions include cooking, fitness, writing and swimming (in fact anything on, in or under water).

I also enjoy photography, writing poetry, teaching piano and educating children about nutrition.

My architectural degree is from Pratt Institute in New York where I lived for nearly two decades. I also lived for some periods in Italy (Rome), Greece (Athens) and Denmark (Copenhagen) before I left Manhattan and moved to California. I’ve traveled fearlessly around five continents and always with the idea of seeing the best of each country’s architecture, getting to know the locals, eating new and delicious foods and capturing images through drawing or photographs. (UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites list has been my faithful companion and is my travel itinerary for the rest of my life!)

With my many interests and blessings of good health, great family and wonderful friends, I often feel I’m “drowning in abundance”. The art here represents only a fraction of the wondrous places and experiences I’ve been lucky to enjoy – I will post more later and hope you like what you see.
