About

I am very excited to offer my treasures to you. I truly love each and every treasure, but I love my grandkids more.

Let me explain...

It all began many, many moons ago when I discovered that I'd been born two centuries too late. To compensate for the fact that I did not live in the 19th Century, I decided to collect items from that time period at every opportunity. Over the past @%# years, I have amassed an incredible assortment of vintage/antique treasures.

Before moving to Oregon, my husband and I spent every weekend "antiquing" in the fabulous Beverly Hills and Melrose districts of Southern California. We rarely came home empty-handed; starting with very small treasures, such as teapots and figurines, and expanding to rooms of furniture…

We rarely came home empty-handed; starting with very small treasures, such as teapots and figurines, and expanding to rooms of furniture.

Our Victorian furniture, also called Renaissance Revival, is magnificent. We've always loved the gothic, medieval look, and gravitated toward shops that sold rare, one-of-a-kind pieces. Many of our items have been used in horror films, while others were previously owned by movie stars. But the back-story was never important to us. We only purchased pieces with which we'd fallen madly in love. As you might imagine, these are high-end, quality pieces that have withstood the ravages of time and remain awesome pieces of craftsmanship, rarely seen today.

My husband and I have now entered a new stage in our lives. We find ourselves downsizing as we get ready to move back to California. Our grandkids (ages five and three) live 800 miles away from us. Waaay too far! Therefore, we need to relocate and make this move as simple and easy as possible (my husband suffered a heart attack last year). It's time to find new homes for our beloved antiques, even as we find a new home for ourselves.

Please continue to visit our shop over the next few months. Although we're stocking our shop first with furniture, we will be adding our collections, artwork, and vintage home decor over the next few months. Please be patient with me. Etsy is a new experience and I feel so lucky to have discovered this wonderful platform to showcase my antique/vintage treasures.

If you're looking for something specific, please do let me know. If I don't currently have the item, I might be able to find it for you. I still love to search for treasures (the 19th Century pirate in me?), even if it is for someone else.

Thank you for choosing Olde Tyme Treasures for a unique shopping experience.
