I've suffered with social anxiety, depression and agoraphobia since I was about 11 years old. When I was 23 I joined a jewellery making class on a course designed to help women with mental health difficulties get back into work. I loved it and picked up the techniques instantly.
Now I create eclectic pieces, often using old and/or broken jewellery and mix them with new beads to make quirky and elegant jewellery inspired by many different styles including Gothic, Art Deco and High Fashion.
I love taking old unwanted jewellery apart, cleaning it up and making it into something fresh and new, by mixing it with beads that I've bought or incorporating into beadwork. Many of my pieces are one-of-a-kind, because the beads and pendants are donated to me from family and friends.
