Hello there! I'm Abbey Hambright, the brains behind this operation. I began making finger puppets in 2005 as a gift for my nephew’s third birthday and that experiment led me to this unexpected specialization creating tiny felt versions of my favorite pop culture heroes. Everything in my shop is free-hand cut and sewn individually using 100% recycled felt, ensuring that the item you receive will be of the highest quality, completely unique and one-of-a-kind.
I sew out of a small studio in the back of my home in Chicago. When I was five, my favorite thing in the world was a new box of crayons; Today I'm partial to thrift stores, horchata and "This American Life."
Still curious? Check out out my arts and crafts blog at abbeychristine.wordpress.com, or photos of various adventures at flickr.com/photos/abbeychristine/. My work has been featured in Buzzfeed, Daily Candy, Chicago Tribune, Urlesque, Craft Zine blog, Chicago Reader and the Today Show website, among other places.
I'm always looking for new felt challenges, so if you have an idea for a custom order, just send me a message. I'm also open to trade, consignment/wholesale, collaboration, knitting patterns, good book recommendations and hearing about any other exciting opportunities you can come up with!
