About

Adam's Gifts has grown out of the handwork I enjoy doing in my spare time, and is slowly becoming something more. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was five (therefore it is my first love!) and a friend taught me to knit a few years later. I ran with it from there. Although most of the items I put up for sale are knitted or crocheted, I do many other types of handwork as well.

My hope is to expand the shop into a custom design business. I enjoy making things for the joy of creation itself, but it's a whole lot more fun if I know it's exactly what someone wants! If you have a particular item in a specific color in mind, or you prefer Irish crochet to cabled knitting, or if you just like the idea of owning a one-of-a-kind original, drop me a note. I'd be more than happy to create a custom listing just for you!

All of my items are made in a smoke-free, pet-free home. I have light asthma, so I try to be careful to stay away from allergens. That said, I do use my hobbies for stress and boredom relief, so I may take them with me outside my home, and I can't guarantee that a dog never sat on the couch I sit on! I do make sure each item is cleaned before sending it off, though.

Handmade items are naturally not uniform. Some stitches may be tighter than others, there may be a slight difference in the side seams... I don't let my garments get away with flaws, but these items are not made by machines and they look it. That's part of the fun! This is pleasure as well as work, so I make these items with love and care.

Thank you for looking at my shop. Take your time, look around, find something you like. If you need anything, just ask!
