I LOVE FIBER! I have been knitting and crocheting since childhood. I visited a family friend 10 years ago. She owned a llama. I asked what she did with the fiber when she sheared her llama. She told me she threw it away. I was given the fiber from the next shearing. That began my journey into hand spinning. Now I play with fiber almost everyday. (Sometimes it is only picking the fiber off my clothing). I found the work that I truly enjoy doing every day. I enjoy every aspect of working with fiber. I am unable to raise the animals due to land constraints. I purchase whole fleeces from small independent farmers and process it from washing to final products.
