About

I first learned to sew in my grandmother's magical house near Lake Michigan, which was filled with light, antiques and paintings and was surrounded by lilacs, peonies, and lilies of the valley. It was a home where items were treasured, where my family had lived for generations, where familiar stories were repeated from generation to generation. I still dream in chintz.

As the mother of two and grandmother of three, I can see my love of fabric and color in the generations which follow me, just as I inherited from generations that preceeded me. I began After All Designs in a little country cottage on the side of a mountain in Vermont, and now it is housed in a multicultural urban neighborhood in Vermont's largest city. I am a long term vendor at the Shelburne Farmers' Market, and attend other markets and craft shows on an occasional basis.
