About

My name is Amy, and I'm a glass bead maker from Victoria, BC. My mom and I are "The Two Glassy Ladies". She makes fused and slumped glass items, and I mostly make beads (so pretty much everything you will see here on Etsy will be my stuff - although you never know, something of my mom's may show up here at some point!) Locally, we sell together at craft shows and markets.

My beads are made out of art glass (mostly Italian), on a special table top torch. I do all of my work by hand in my studio which is in my garage. Each bead is kiln-annealed in a digitally controlled kiln straight out of the torch, carefully cleaned, and inspected for flaws.

The beads you are purchasing are always ready-made, unless it is specified otherwise in the listing or you are ordering something custom that I have to make up for you. In most cases, the beads you are purchasing are the exact set I photographed. The exception is my spacer beads, which I often remake after a set has sold - and the remake looks truly identical to the original beads. If it doesn't, like if the colour came out a bit different, I will take the pics again. I do my very best to make my listings represent the actual beads you are buying as truly as I can without you being able to see them in person, and I am always happy to take returns if you are not satisfied. (See my store policies for more information about returns and my bead guarantees).

I take my photos in a light-box with a digital camera. I don't have a professional photo set-up, but I do my best to make the colours look accurate, and to show the beads as well as I possibly can. Be warned that I can't take your monitor's settings into account, so the colours may vary slightly from what you see there.

I am on my computer quite frequently, so chances are, if you have a question, I will get back to you very promptly. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions about my listings!
