Aidan Olive is a design partnership where we seek to apply modernist principles to practical living. We aspire to make objects that help us live better, and by doing so, we hope they will help you live better too. Our goal is to fabricate everything that we make in our own facilities, using local materials and local craftsmen. In other words, we offer a product designed and built by a community.

Aric Mayer has worked in almost all capacities of media creation. While working on his masters of fine arts degree in painting at Pratt Institute, Aric first studied woodworking with Japanese master carpenter Toshio Odate where he learned to build his own tools and start from the most essential basics of design. Aric Mayer has worked in almost all capacities of media creation. His photographs have been exhibited widely and are represented through Gallery Bienvenu in New Orleans, LA. In 2006, Aric produced and directed The Shop of Wild Dreams, a 58-minute film created in collaboration with Danijel Zezelj and the Tiptons. His clients include Time Inc, Hearst, The Columbia Journalism Review, The Wall Street Journal, Bomb Magazine, MTV Networks, Sony Entertainment. “Wanderings,” a limited edition book of poetry and woodcut prints by Aric resides in the permanent collection of rare and special books at the University of Washington.

Marni Saling spent the past decade and a half working in various capacities in media and the arts, most recently as Advertising Director for Comedy Central. Before that she worked with the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Woodland Park Zoo, where her office looked out over the prairie dogs. Marni grew up on a wood sail boat in the San Juan Islands.
