About

Hi there!

My obsession with making things has been with me since I was a child. In elementary school, after learning a song about making an apple pie, I asked my mom if we could make one. Her response to me was that she'd just buy me one. What she didn't know was that I had no interest in eating the pie, it just sounded fun to make according to the song. Although, now that I'm a grown up, I'd make the pie, then eat it. =)

I first started college as a Mechanical Engineering student. After a lot of thought, I found myself in art school, getting an Associates degree in Fine Art and then a Bachelors of Art degree in Restoration (of Fine Art Objects, excluding paintings and paper) at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

In the past, I have worked as an apprentice in a furniture restoration shop, an assistant guilder for a private business that attended to the antiques market, a technician for Central Park Conservancy working on the Bethesda Arcade Restoration project and as the guilder for a high end lamp company.

Born and raised in NYC, I moved to Toronto, Canada in 2011 to be with my Canadian husband.

I currently spend my days exploring my newfound passion for making leather goods. I try to make pieces that are modern, but show a respect for tradition. Or that are seriously whimsical.
