The act of sifting flour or blending sugar or beating egg whites is all part of creating a picture. The rolling pin, the wooden spoon, the whisk are your brushes - sizes 6, 7 and 8. The fridge and cupboards are your supply box, keeping all of your precious ingredients safe, right where you left them last time. The butter, eggs, vanilla - they are your watercolors and acrylics and oils. The counter top is your canvas, stretched on a wooden display. The apron - your dirty and spotted painting shirt, the one you always wear to create your masterpieces.
Baking is just like any other art. Your put yourself behind the brush and manifest what's inside of you for the rest of the world to see.
