Alexandra Tosto's Profile

About

I graduated in jewellery and silversmithing design at the Sir John Cass Institute of Art and Design in London.
The beauty of nature and its patterns as well as science and philosophy are the elements that inform my design process, providing me with a vast source of inspiration for concept and form.
My collections take as long as 6 to 10 months to design and take form, starting from concept, to sketches, passing through infinite numbers of paper models to test aesthetics, size and wearability (functionality) until a CAD model is drawn and printed for the final piece. I finish each piece by hand in my studio in London.
My designs are bold, often colourful and with a clean, contemporary aesthetic.
