A Tale of Two Houses

I live in two 1920's bungalow homes in my beloved Portland, Oregon where I was born and raised.

My 1928 house is filled with all my family heirlooms and my dressing room, a room filled to the brim with all the hats, purses and clothing I wear from 1968 and before with a few exceptions to the rules. My personal collection of lucite box purses and Enid Collins bags can also be found there. All of the items listed in this and my other Etsy shop Union Made Bride (dedicated to the vintage bride) have been packed into the 1928 house so as to retain their condition described when made available on Etsy.

The 1924 house located just 12 blocks away contains AlexSandra's Vintage Emporium, my brick and mortar that has sustained me since 2004. I'm currently curating this Etsy shop with items from my vast inventory of vintage clothing, costume jewelry, purses, scarves, gloves and shoes.

Prior to 2004 I spent 6 years working in an antique store with my Mother. We began doing estate sales together in 1988 when I was just 12 years old. So I've been at the vintage thing for many years. My Grandfather had a men's clothing store here in Portland from 1938-1978 so retail is in my blood.
