I have been wishing for an Etsy shop for a couple of years. My problem was what would I create that people would actually be interested in? My answer came at a very low point in my life. With the help of some amazing people who I've never actually met (!), my dream of opening a shop has become a reality!

My tag line, "Serendipity, Recycled", says it all. Serendipity = accidental discovery. That describes this shop in many ways. It was serendipity that gave me the idea. It is serendipity when I find the perfect stained wool sweater to unravel and turn into something useful. It was serendipity that a dear friend saw my plight and offered me a new lease on life.

And, of course, the "recycled" part refers to my attempt to include some kind of reused element into everything I make. From plastic grocery bags destined for the trash can to holey…
