Coming from a fine arts background, my approach to jewelry design is very personal and expressive. I took my first jewelry class at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. I loved working with metal and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Humboldt State University in Northern California. There I learned the importance of strong design and craftsmanship and it's where I learned how to anodize aluminum. When I realized that I could play with color and metal at the same time, I was hooked for good.
So, what is anodized aluminum?
Anodizing is a three step process that allows me to custom dye the metal a wide range of luminous colors. It also strengthens and protects the surface. It does not tarnish or rub off.
