I have always had a strong fascination with machines and lathe work. At age 14 I built my own lathe and started wood turning. Originally making wood bat, and various toys for myself.

Soon I enter the US Air Force, and served for 4 years. After I was discharged I enrolled at the Community college and finished a machinist apprenticeship and then a Business Degree from the University of Utah and University of Phoenix.

After many years working on and with trains I retired. Which became the a great annoyance to my wife. Who encouraged me to pick up my old lathe and get working again. So I started turning and re-found my passion of it. I then decided that I needed a better workshop and grab more of my old tools.

In spite of some health issues with MS and diabetes, I had been able to keep turning…
