About

About my jewelry:

I started making jewelry over fifteen years ago and have experimented with a variety of media through the years, including glass, metal, wood, bone, pearl, gemstone, and other materials. Most of my pieces are affordably done in silver or gold plate and include individual pieces as well as jewelry “sets”, which often include matching necklace, bracelet, and earrings.

My jewelry is made in a variety of sizes as well, so there’s something for everyone – from toddler bracelets and child-sized/petite pieces to plus-sized treasures. Many of my pieces come with extenders on them to make the size/length adjustable. And while I can't guarantee that all of my work can be adjusted to fit, I am willing to work with customers who have “special sizing needs” when possible.

About my knitting:

I have always been fascinated with hand-made items, and have dabbled in a variety of crafts through the years. I'm also a "texture junkie," so it was only a matter of time before I was drawn into the world of knitting. I love working with different colors and textures, and I enjoy knitting with multiple strands at once, creating unique accent throws and other decorative items. My knitted items utilize simple stitches and techniques -- the interest is created in the creative combination of yarns!

About my bowls:

A few years ago, while vacationing in Florida, my friend and I stopped in a little shop on the way home where I saw the most fascinating thing -- a bowl! Made from fabric! And coiled around like the clay I loved working with when I briefly tried ceramics over 25 years ago! Of course, the bowl was on display to help promote the sale of a book describing this intriguing art form ... which I promptly bought. I came home and immediately started experimenting with these "fottery" (fabric pottery) bowls, which are now my new obsession!

I've also found that using fabrics from special items of clothing can be a beautiful way to create a keepsake and remind yourself of someone special. I've made bowls from multiple clothing items for family members to share & remember a loved one -- perhaps Mom's favorite house-dress, or the shirt Granddad always wore.
