Bonnie G. Morrow is an accomplished self-taught artist born, raised and living in the Pacific Northwest. Bonnie lives in a wonderful seaside arts community, Port Townsend, Washington, amongst the scenic mountains and salt water.

Born into a family of artists, Bonnie has explored all areas of art and its various forms of expression. Encouraged from an early age to follow any interests of creativity, Bonnie has had a wide and varied exploration of the art world. Bonnie has expressed her creativity in various forms of expression such as fiber art, clay, pen and ink, watercolor, acrylics, oils, decorator beaded tassels, lampwork beads, sculpture, block printing, dying/staining, wall sculpture and writing.

Bonnie has made her living working in all areas that allow her to express her creativity such as designing and painting signs, creating hand tied human hair wigs for the entertainment industry, creating unique one-of-a-kind custom beaded tassels for the interior design trade, artisan of oil and acrylic paintings and lampworking hot glass.

In 1996, Bonnie opened her business, Ambrosia Arts, and has been making her living as a full time artist for several years now.

I have now opened a separate store on Etsy for my paintings and you can view it at this link: http://www.etsy.com/shop/bgmorrowpaintings?ref=si_shop

When Bonnie began selling some of her paintings. They were received very well from the start and within months were selling at 100 times her original asking price and more. She catalogues all of her paintings and all are accompanied with a certificate of authenticity and online registration. Her paintings have been internationally collected both by private and corporate collectors throughout the world.

In February, 2007, Bonnie had an art show in Fort Myers, Florida and sold all of her works present at that show.

As one art curator describes her work: "I find your work to be true to art's most exacting demands. The truthfulness to geometry and yet the boldness and confidence your work exudes is very exhilarating! Just know that your paintings resonate within and invite one to ponder and be invigorated at the same time." And another describes her work as: "'Tis simultaneously serene yet anticipatory, encouraging calm yet exciting one's curiosity ... truly "thinking pieces."

Bonnie listens to music while painting and creating with glass and her works are greatly influenced by the music she listens to. Hence the Orbs series inspired by the music of Over The Rhine and Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen music inspired series.

In 2006 Bonnie became very interested in learning about working with hot glass. She purchased all of the books she could find on Lampworking and began reading. In Late summer 2006 Bonnie set up her lampworking studio and began experimenting. What an interesting experience this has turned out to be for her. She had no idea there was so much to know about glass. In 2007 Bonnie began selling some of my works and they have been very well received. Bonnie continues to learn something new about glass and its capabilities daily.

The year 2010 brought on an interest in painting with fabric - alas, the art of quilting. I am just starting to experiment with this art form and will see where it leads.

Bonnie art reflects her love of nature and the beautiful colors it provides on a daily basis. She enjoys the freedom that painting and working with glass provides. Most of her paintings and glass works reflect great emotion, depth, movement and breathtaking color.

She spends her evenings creating beautiful knitted items and needlepoint along with the occasional jewelry piece. Needless to say, her hands are never at rest.
