I have learned a lot during the years of my life, and this is where they have brought me.

During the summer of 2013, I decided that I needed to make serious, positive changes in my life. These changes began with a twice daily meditation practice and then strict Sabbath Sundays. For me, a Sabbath doesn't mean going to church, but to instead take an actual day of rest for my body and soul. This happened to include longer meditations, reading inspiring articles, usually from Mystic Mamma, journaling, taking a long bath, and reading books. The three books that were the perfect combination to eventually catalyze this store were Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, The Book of Chakra Healing by Liz Simpson, and The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall.

This is how I began to make jewelry: I would read from my books and articles in the morning; in the afternoon I would read up on a new Chakra, starting from the Base Chakra and learning about a new one every couple of weeks. I would then pick a kind of crystal bead that corresponded with the Charka I was working with, and make jewelry with them. I quickly found that as I would learn about the specific Chakras, specific problem areas in my life would make themselves known that happened to correspond

with the Chakra I would be reading about that week. I would then wear the crystal jewelry that I had made as medicine for that Chakra.

You can then see how this originally started as a personal spiritual practice. This was a personal challenge to myself, and I have over-come I number of issues within myself through this practice. The ways that this practice became bigger than just myself is attributed to two wonderful women that I have the privilege to know. One of whom, would noticed the jewelry I wore regularly and ask about it. She was interested enough that I took one of every kind of crystal bead that I had, put them in a bowl, and asked her to chose the one that felt "right." I would then read the stone's description from The Crystal Bible. This proved to be very powerful for her; the stones she would pick always corresponded so neatly with the issues she was dealing with in her life. I would then loan her a piece of jewelry made with that crystal for her to wear as medicine. This woman helped me realize the potential this practice has to help others better themselves and their lives.

The other amazing woman helped me realize that I could actually put up this shop and do this work. I had given her a pair of earrings as a little "thank you" and had included the meaning behind the stones I picked from The Crystal Bible. A couple weeks later, her and her co-worker asked if they could commission me to make jewelry for the other women in their department. I was so honored and immediately said "yes." This project helped show me that I can do this work on a very practical level and gave me a little boost of encouragement and monetary support to get it going.

The same week that the commissioning happened, I also finished working on the Crown Chakra, the last of the traditional seven Chakras featured in The Book of Chakra Healing. So I have now completed this practice once and can begin to share it with those who are open to it and desire an invitation to believe in better things.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all. Thank you so much!
