About

Hello there, if you were wondering, the name, Amelia Love, comes from my husband's great grandmother's maiden name. The story goes that his great grandfather came from Copenhagen by ship with shackle marks on his wrists and ankles. Landed at Hayle harbour in Cornwall, where he met and married Amelia Love, the harbour masters daughter, who then became Amelia Baumbach. They had 13 boys, one of which was my husbands grandfather!

Working from home in my studio pottery in Glenshee, nestled between the mountains, the ever changing light on the landscape never fails to inspire me at work. I use white earthenware clay, ideal for kitchen use as well as being oven proof. I hand paint my coloured glazes which are then dipped in clear. I love the fact that each piece is practical and ment to be used but also stands alone as a piece on its own.
I hope you enjoy my pottery as much as I enjoy making it.

Please feel free to contact me with any commission work. If you see a product but would like it in a different colour glaze (my colours are Red, Green and Blue) or change the wording to your preference to personalise an item, contact me, (Allow 28 days for delivery).

Thanks for looking, Nicola.
