Welcome to the attic, the mermaid is IN. I live on the western edge of the largest island, and smallest continent, in the world...a hop, skip and a big jump from the gorgeous Indian Ocean! I am an artist, mother, wife, occasional singer, dancer when the music is right, a writer of poems (though whether they're any good is another issue entirely!), a scribbler of stories, an actor (well for a while when I was a uni student) and a just-slightly-scatterbrained maker of all sorts of things. I've been creating art since my mum first gave me a pencil stub and let me scribble on my high-chair tray. I paint, draw, make stuff, sew stuff, and my works (rather like my tastes) are very eclectic. I have to create because I'm sure my head would burst with all the ideas in it if I don't!
