Demi's Profile

About

Hi! I am Demi, the person behind Amoronia. I design and make literature inspired jewelry, based on my need to translate a literary art form (fable, fairy tale, drama, poetry, even song lyrics) into a wearable piece.

I have been experimenting with jewelry making ever since I remember myself, but my studies include literary translation and comparative literature. Eventually, it was only natural for me to combine my academic background with my jewelry passion, to see where inspiration would take me. I love to spend a lot of time selecting the quotes that I am going to use in my creations. I also love to use old fairy tales illustrations and objects that are reminiscent of pieces of literature.

About

My small business is located in Elis, near Olympia, a lovely, calm place where the Olympic Games were born many, many centuries ago... My workspace is my study. I store my supplies in boxes and my tools in a basket, carefully placed among my books. When I decide on what supplies to use I think primarily of what items suit my inspiration. Quality and value for my customers are non-negotiable. I mainly buy my supplies online, but sometimes I find wonderful objects and materials from friends and family!

When I create, I do so with a desire to share the result with the world. Etsy has made this possible for me, and I am grateful for all the lovely people I meet!
