About

I haven’t always been a baker. I was an elementary school teacher for 10 years and then once I had my daughter Clare, and my son Cole I chose to stay home and raise them. While trying to keep my sanity, and figure out a way to bring in some extra money I considered things I was good at and enjoyed that I might be able to develop into a business. Baking gluten free made sense. I have lived with Celiac for 35 years (though for some of them didn’t adhere to the diet), and for the last 11 of those really took an interest in learning how to bake gluten free.

My experience buying gluten free baked goods has probably been much like your own.

Expensive, dry, heavy products that seem to have so many allergen ingredients removed from them there isn’t much left to work with. Here, at AnaMama’s I have found a way to make things the way I remember them tasting and with as many familiar ingredients as possible. Each of my gluten free products have developed over time, through trial and error and an ever shrinking pocketbook to fund my failures, of which my family can attest to, were many. From my first batch of chocolate chip cookies that spread the length of the pan to the victorious batch of sugar cookies that are now coveted and fought over every holiday, the goodies available today I hope, will exceed your expectations.

It is exciting to me, to hear a customer finally taste something that they clearly had missed and longed for since becoming gluten free. It’s like a renewed sense of hope that all will taste good again. And here we are, and it does. Even better, it’s unidentifiably gluten free- everyone can enjoy AnaMama’s Gluten Free Goodies together.
