Ana Sotka's Profile
I haven’t always been a baker. I was an elementary school teacher for 10 years and then once I had my daughter Clare, and my son Cole I chose to stay home and raise them. While trying to keep my sanity, and figure out a way to bring in some extra money I considered things I was good at and enjoyed that I might be able to develop into a business. Baking gluten free made sense. I have lived with Celiac for 35 years (though for some of them didn’t adhere to the diet), and for the last 11 of those really took an interest in learning how to bake gluten free.
My experience buying gluten free baked goods has probably been much like your own. Expensive, dry, heavy products that seem to have so many allergen ingredients removed from them there isn’t much left to work with. Here, at AnaMama’s I have found a way to make things the way I remember them tasting and with as many familiar ingredients…
