Ananemone Labels began when I started my own clothing line and couldn't find the kind of labels I needed anywhere: soft, organic, natural, non-fray, and easily customized in small quantities. About me:
I picked up sewing and Etsy in the same day in 2009, on a link from a design blog. In the space of about 2 months, I went from not knowing a crafting world existed, to seeing amazing imported fabrics in Etsy's supplies section, to buying too much handmade soap, to starting in on a super-intricate cathedral windows quilt.

In the space of about 2 months, I went from not knowing a crafting world existed, to seeing amazing imported fabrics in Etsy's supplies section, to buying too much handmade soap, to starting in on a super-intricate cathedral windows quilt.

Then I discovered dressmaking, and here I am. I sew everything on a 1950s Singer 201-2 (The Dressmaker); I print all my labels on 100% organic cotton. I'm somewhat fanatic about using the best quality materials for everything I do; if it's worth doing, it's worth doing perfectly.

I'm very convo-friendly about my techniques, material sources, anything.

Oh, and if you haven't read the Tao Te Ching, Ursula Le Guin's novels, Eating Animals, or Jane Eyre, you should.

My husband recommends Sartor Resartus, Ulysses, and The Soul in Nature.

by the way: my mom and sister have an account here under boatrigs
