I am a mother, an artist, and the owner of a black cat named Mr Bojangles. I have a BFA in painting from Moore College of Art and Design. I currently live on a farm in Pineville, Pa, which is about an hour from Philly and a few minutes from New Hope, Pa. So, even though I may live in the country (aka boondocks), I am still influenced by the rich creativity that lies around me. Pattern is something that I have always taken an interest in. My art making process tends to center around color and finding the beauty in repetition. I enter a calm, almost zen-like trance while working on these highly detailed pieces. My ultimate goal would be for the viewer to also enter this state while looking at my work. I am not interested in perfection, in fact it's the complete opposite. The work, although mildly obsessive(!) shows evidence of the human hand. I find beauty in the color that doesn't quite match, or the line that is a little bit wobbly. I…
