Andrea Hoglund's Profile

About

I was a well known white oak basket maker for years until my hands gave out. After years of searching for a durable creative outlet, I finally found lampworking!

My daughter Rose Bettis and I took some classes with the reknowned bead maker John Winter and we do shows together. Her work is very inspirational to me as is the work of all bead makers accross the world. I love seeing what all the creative people are doing in this genre.

I especially get a wonderful feeling when jewelry artists purchase my work. I feel that I am a bead maker and not a jewelry maker. I show off and sell my beads on beautiful hand dyed silk ribbons (by class act designs), sterling silver omega chains, and lovely soft goat leather cord.
