Welcome to my shop! Here you will find my range of lovingly designed DIY patterns for stylish ladies.

Have you ever thought to yourself, ‘Golly gosh, I wish I could make my own clothes! If only I could find some spiffy patterns with easy to follow instructions!’?

I think it’s nice to be able to make your own clothes so I am developing a range of pretty patterns for stylish ladies who want to have a go at making clothes for themselves. Or men who want to surprise a certain lady friend.

Having an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design Technology, I've being making my own patterns for years now but prior to my studies in design I relied on using commercially bought patterns to create my clothes. I was constantly frustrated at being unable to find dressmaking patterns that I liked. I wanted something pretty, unique, special, something with a personality of its own. So that’s what I’m here to offer you. High quality patterns of inspired designs with some sweet vintage touches and a whole lot of character.

The clothes are all designed by me, by myself, in my little studio in Adelaide, South Australia. I grade the patterns myself, so each pattern comes in a size range of 6-16 (Australian sizes). The patterns are sold as a PDF and come with a very lovely and detailed PDF instruction booklet that not only gives you step by step instructions on how to sew up your pattern, but also includes basic information of fabrics, a size guide and general sewing instructions. All instructions are written by me and I have designed the whole booklet to be suitable for people with little (or no) sewing experience.

I think that in our Western culture, fashion has become all about quantity over quality, it seems to be about excess and cheap mass produced clothing that ends up in landfill after a single season because it’s not designed to last. I really believe in the simple joy that comes from creating a dress or top or skirt for yourself. These handmade creations will have a personality and value that a chain store purchase never could. I hope that you’ll use my patterns to make a dress to wear on a first date; a skirt that you’ll wear on picnics every summer, year after year because it makes you happy; or a pair of pants in an un-trendy pattern, just because you love it and no-one else in the world will have pants quite like yours. I really hope that you’ll give it a try.

When you place an order, the PDF pattern and booklet is emailed to you at the address you specify. I do not send hard copies of the pattern or booklet. You can then print off the pattern yourself on your normal, everyday, home A4 colour printer. (It’s important that the pattern is printed out in colour as each size is represented by a different colour.) You can print out the booklet too, if you like. Or, if you want to save paper, you could read the booklet straight from your computer. The instruction booklet guides you through the assembly of your paper pattern. It’s quite simple and just involves getting a bit crafty and cutting off some margins and sticking the pieces of paper together with rubber cement or other adhesive.

In my store you will also find some ready made crafty things, like purses and bags. I hope I can inspire your creativity and help you make something really special. I would also love to hear your feedback, so please contact me if you have any queries, comments or questions.
