Anna Whalley's Profile

About

I grew up drawing floor plans and accurately mapping out my bedroom dreaming about becoming an architect. Then Japanese Animation stole my heart. About

I grew up drawing floor plans and accurately mapping out my bedroom dreaming about becoming an architect. Then Japanese Animation stole my heart. First I saw Project A-Ko and just had to draw my own version of the brave heroine. Then came a long love affair with Sailor Moon, that to this day (almost in my thirties mind you) I will still proclaim is the best anime ever. I filled sketch book after sketch book with my so-called anime characters all with intricate story lines and character profiles. Later in high school I realized I enjoyed sketching realistic portraits just as much as the animated kind. Then going to a college for an art degree pushed my field of artistic expression much further. Yet, having never gotten my Graphic Design Degree (the degree I inevitably choose, I'm not sure why) the three years I spent there were invaluable to my artistic career. Now, years after college, I have started to hone in on my skills and have picked up many hobbies along the way, such as Ikebana (art of Japanese flower arrangement), ceramics, Hula Hoop Dance, gift card making, jewelry making, origami, among other things. Now my only desire, besides creating art, is sharing it with the world. Enjoy. :)
