Since a very young age, I have been driven to reinterpret or express ideas or issues that are important to me. With a background in fine arts and urban planning, my work often explores the sense and perception of ideas and place – how man perceives, interacts, and defines himself within his surroundings. I have also been influenced by the philosophy and aesthetics behind the Bauhaus, Abstract Expressionist and related movements.
Although I have formal training in a variety of visual media, I prefer working with glass because it seems limitless in its expression and offers an opportunity create objects that combine both art and functionality.
