Martha Smalley's Profile

About

I have a BFA from Kansas State and an MA from the University of Alabama. After teaching school several years, I am finally living my dream of been a full time artist/craftsman. I have been fortunate to have a loving husband and daughter who have always been supportive and to have many people in my life who have encouraged me to make my little things. I am drawn to the prim style because of its charm and nostalgic look. I always look for unsual items to paint on, my favorites being old teapots and coffeepots, silverware, books and boxes of all kinds. To me, there is a certain charm about something that already has a "history" when it comes my way. Adding a little "prim icing" on the cake gives me so much pleasure!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my little shop. If you ever have a question, please feel free to contact me!
