Theresa Esterlund's Profile

About

As a collage artist, I layer meanings and ideas and explore concepts of memory, imagination, relationships, identity, and a sense of place. My artwork often evokes a spirit of nostalgia, and my journals and cards usually have a sense of humor to them as well. I enjoy playing with images of femininity and twisting past portrayals of American women into more empowering contemporary views.

I live and work in the Washington, DC, area. My original collage artwork has been exhibited in several shows, and you can see images on my website: www.aprilevening.com.
