About

Arrikworld is a place.. and a state of mind.
I've been a paper boy, a short order cook, picked tobacco, worked on a loading dock, sold mens clothes....
Since getting a degree in Fine Art, I've been an infantryman in the Marine reserves, a prison guard, drawn for two Architects and enjoyed a fifteen year run as an industrial designer specializing in die cutting.
With the support of my wife and family, I've settled into midlife as an artist and craftsman, and my wood lot and work shop in the Thompson woods has become the center of my life. There, I've built up a small woodworking operation, harvesting and sawing native woods which I use to make wooden objects from utilitarian to artistic and all the while pursuing my dream of being an artist through painting, drawing, carving and photography.
I hope to list and show both art and craft items.

I cut and use the woods I have, and in these forests that means pine and the oaks. Maple, birch, hickory, ash, beech and hemlock also grow here and I've sawn and sampled all of them.
As a woodworker I've become very good at fashioning box joints of old and this is the cornerstone of my joinery.
As an artist I enjoy figurative work, figures and faces are recurring themes.
One of a kind items are my forte, I will gladly consider any opportunity.
