About

My dad instilled in me a love and appreciation for "old" things. He was an avid collector and used to take me along to flea markets and antique shows as a child. He always thought I wasn't interested in his hobby, that I wasn't listening, but I was! In high school, I got my first collecting bug: metal lunch boxes. I would go to the Long Beach Flea Market and scour the aisles with my dad, looking for cool and obscure boxes. Of course, I could only afford the severely rusted and damaged ones, but it didn't matter. It was exciting to find the old Return of the Jedi and Pigs in Space lunch boxes that I remembered as a child.

My dad is gone now, but his passions live on in me. Going to flea markets and estate sales keep me connected to him and to the past. I opened Artefact Vintage to share my love of "old" things (since I can't possibly keep all the old things I find, no matter how much I want to!)…

My dad is gone now, but his passions live on in me. Going to flea markets and estate sales keep me connected to him and to the past. I opened Artefact Vintage to share my love of "old" things (since I can't possibly keep all the old things I find, no matter how much I want to!) In a way I feel like I'm saving all these wonderful artifacts of the past from an unsavory future. So, instead of sitting in a landfill or on a thrift store shelf, they will be treasured and loved by people who appreciate them.

Buying and selling vintage wares is just part of my life, though. I live in my hometown of Whittier, CA with my awesome husband, two kitties, and Jack, my pup. From September to June, you can find me in front of a classroom, teaching teenagers how to read and write.
