About

Friends of mine who own sheep introduced me to feltmaking, I loved the whole process, I was completely hooked, and started, exploring this media, pushing the boundaries, all the time.

It didn’t take long before people were buying my work, and galleries asking me to exhibit. At the same time I got many requests to teach feltmaking, I started teaching children, and it became apparent they were just as enthusiastic as adults,

I saw a need to make the process as easy as possible, without compromising the quality of the work. I now have developed a range of kits that are fun to make. All my kits have online tutorials as well as easy to follow illustrated instructions..

I have always been involved in visual art, be it painting, drawing or textiles. I trained as a hairdresser when I left school. I then went to night classes to learn how to make jewellery and worked for a while in the jewellery trade. When I started a family, we moved to Somerset, South West England, and I worked as a graphic artist, with my husband in a printing business. I learnt a whole new set of skills, but working on a computer always felt a bit remote, not very touchy feely.

I hope you enjoy making your Artfelt kit as much as I have in creating it.

Please send me a photo of your finished creation. I always love to see what others have created, as their personality always shines through.

Artfelt kits have been featured in several UK publications - Telegraph Magazine, Country Living, Simply Homemade and Making.
