I've been creating since I was little, starting with potholders at age 4, knitting and ceramics as a teenager, then jewelry when my Grammy passed away and left me all her old jewelry-making tools and supplies.

In 2009 I was diagnosed with stage III colorectal cancer and spent months in the dance with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. In the midst of it, I began "assembling" an angel out of found objects. As I arranged bits and pieces, gluing, nailing and screwing things together, I realized I was gluing myself back together in a way. That angelic inspiration probably saved my life as I am now gratefully cancer-free and creating daily.
