I first joined Etsy back in March 2007, but being a full time nomad, with no computer experience, it wasn't until 2008, in about August, that I eventually began listing pieces in my shop.

Life on the road, whilst totally wonderful, was not very practical, for on-line selling. Travelling customers were always asking did I have a web address !
Now I do ! as I am more settled in a fixed abode studio.!

My Works of Art

I have been creating these unique hats since 1987,when market-goers saw my first hat on my head, and would request one "just like it".

None were ever "Just like it", but all were ♥ Unique Statements ♥ , that appealed to their new owners and always seem, to be,..... made, "Just For Them" !

Each hat is a unique work of art, ♥ lovingly hand-crafted with yarns carefully selected from my Vibrant, Exotic, and Unusual yarns palette.
I paint with wool, abstract patterns, spirals, and Australian Fauna, in a style now known as Tapestry Crochet.

They can take many hours of work
( Some commissions have seen 3 hats made until I'm satisfied that It, is * THE * Right one for that person !)

My hats have won numerous awards at the Alice Springs Beanie Festival, held every June in Central Australia.

2003: First Prize - 'Flora and Fauna' award, 'Outback Emu'

2004: First Prize - 'Spirit of the Land" award, 'Follow The Sun'

2005: Special Mention - 'New and Innovative' award, 'Emu'

2006: Special Mention - 'Mad Hatters' award, 'Emus Dream'

2007: Acquisitive purchase of 'Winter In Alice', to the Beaniefest Touring Exhibition

2007: First Prize - 'Warmest Beanie', Coffin Bay Hat Exhibition,

2007: First Prize - 'Most Regionally Appropriate', Coffin Bay Hat Exhibition,

2008: I won Second in The People's Choice 'Alice' the Koala Puppet/Beanie,

2010: Special Mention - Mad Cap Award ...'Head Full of Love'

Hand Painted Wearable Art

I began creating Wearable Art in the early 1980's. Working with Fabric Crayons, I then progressed to Fabric Paint diluted to a wash, to totally colour T-shirts into Rainbows.Later I switched to Fibre-Reactive dyes that I hand paint with.
Although I still paint rainbow clothes occasionally, for both kids and adults, I now mainly focus on painting landscape art on to Clothing, Sunset Silhouettes. Soon I will begin working on to fabric that I will sew into bags and cushion covers, or curtains.

Any feedback on my shop or work would be greatly appreciated.
