From an early age I remember feeling alive when painting, crafting, and generally making my own designs. I have studied art in school all the way to college level but ended working in a corporate world. During that early time I exhibited my work in high school galleries, art billboard!, and then people's homes. I enjoyed making art small (drawings) or super-sized (murals).
Some time ago I had the good fortune of learning knitting and wet felting. I was seduced by the amazing colors and texture of fibers but most of all, I became mesmerized with the archaic form of handmade felt. I find it to be a medium in which I can express myself just as I had done in painting and drawing.
My intent at Iris & Rose is to design intentionally grouped collections that will speak to elements that inspire me. Botanicals is the first collection. As my collections change,…
