I have always loved when things come alive. Drawing was my first contact with the power of the creative process to completely change how I feel. Childhood making of creatures and symbols led to study of Egyptian and other systems of sacred iconography. About

I have always loved when things come alive. Drawing was my first contact with the power of the creative process to completely change how I feel. Childhood making of creatures and symbols led to study of Egyptian and other systems of sacred iconography. I found the world around me animated by the numenous and inspiring forces depicted in the curves, lines and glyphs of ancient cultures. My own style of artwork was infused with these early inspirations, but continued to grow in its own way so that it could convey more and more of the inner world as revealed in our time and place.
By travelling and becoming part of a very dynamic culture of festivals and intentional gatherings, I witnessed the power of art to transform how people feel on a large scale as well as a personal one. Voyages through the vast reaches of the human soul could be launched from any space, howeverinitially mundane or drab with the help of artwork to invite and encourage deep appreciation. I discovered how rooms, homes, studios, dancefloors, domes, camps and temples can be filled with forms and images that soothe or excite, embrace or open the human psyche. This became my work and joy: to create printed fabrics that remind us of how much height and depth of experience we are capable of in each moment and which inspire us to dive into this.
