About

Who am I?

I'm Angela Schwer, a polymer clay artist and mother who is passionate about equal rights, feminism, traveling, creating, reading, and enjoying this one precious life I have.

I'm drawn to detail, movement, and capturing the textures in nature that are often overlooked. I could spend all day looking over fabrics, cellular photography, and the complexity of plant structures. I take these inspirations and use them in my clay pieces to make unique art for people who want a one-of-a-kind piece.

I also enjoy the look of surprise when witnessing a shift in another's perspective on what polymer clay can be used for. Previously considered a craft medium, I have found that polymer can be used in unexpected ways to create explosive pieces of art…

I also enjoy the look of surprise when witnessing a shift in another's perspective on what polymer clay can be used for. Previously considered a craft medium, I have found that polymer can be used in unexpected ways to create explosive pieces of art.

I've been lucky enough to have been featured on various art blogs and have my pieces in special collections, hotels and galleries such as Zinc Art + Object, The Peppermill and Studio 391. I have also been featured in the artist spotlight on This is Colossal and My Modern Met. You can see read more here:

Why me?

Because this isn't just a business transaction, it is a trusted relationship. I will work in tandem with your input for larger custom pieces so that you get exactly what you want.

I have been working with clay since 2004 while working in a classroom with my professor teaching students of various art mediums. I took the leap to open a shop in 2010 after making a few flowers at home while staying home with my children, and am lucky enough to have found something that not only I love to make, but others enjoy as well. Over the years, I have refined my techniques, and am a strong believer that talent accompanies dedication to your craft. While I originally started in flowers, my line is ever changing, and you will find new items all the time.

What will you get?

You will get a one-of-a-kind sculpture made entirely by myself, one detailed piece at a time. I will create an voluminous, wild, and complex piece just for you. Each piece will be signed and dated on the back as well. You will also get a trusted relationship with an artist that will work with you in all aspects of custom designs.

You can also check my Instagram account where I update most of my pieces in process when you follow me at https://www.instagram.com/aschwer/.
