About

I was born and raised in the largest Amish and Mennonite community in the world. I came home from factory work to raise our children and started sewing and making quilts. I fell in love with fabrics and piecing quilts and my aunt would help with hand- quilting them. My favorites are one-of-a-kind scrappy traditional quilts in all sizes and hand-quilting is my preferred but I like machine quilting for those college or baby quilts that will be used all the time. It's so much fun to start from scratch and end up with a beautiful finished project that is well worth the wait and brings a smile and sometimes tears of joy to the happy recipient. It's fun to see newbies get excited about what they are making to give as a gift or decorate their home. I also love being a grandma, vegetable and flower gardening, nature, cooking, antiques and vintage housewares and linens, embroidery and just overall working with my hands in my home on our small mini farm and being with family. Music is also a passion of mine and I enjoy time spent with our church and praise and worship team! I hope you enjoy your visit to the store and have a blessed day!
