About

I live in Northern California & made my first sock monkey in about 1978. I'm still making sock monkeys for my family & anyone else who is partial to them. I also make greeting cards using my sock monkey photos taken in places all over the map.

I prefer to do "guerrilla" type photography of my sock monkeys, meaning I spontaneously stop to take a photo rather than using a made up situation.

I offered my pregnant, birthing, nursing sock monkey for the new Regretsy book when they asked for submissions. It was accepted & appears on page 45 with the author's comment "Unprotected Socks". Kinda wild.

My sock monkeys are not mass produced. Each one is unique. Some are more traditional and others are combined with the essence of other creatures.
I've found that adults love them as well as kids.

While making my photo cards, I try to (when possible) recycle new but unwanted paper and envelopes.

Many of my sock monkeys are made from the old style socks which are no longer manufactured. I buy them in new condition in their original package.
