My home is in Banff, Alberta, Canada and I love to create! Ever since I was a young person I have been drawing. After graduating from high School I went to the Alberta College of Art, with plans of becoming a commercial artist.

About

My home is in Banff, Alberta, Canada and I love to create! Ever since I was a young person I have been drawing. After graduating from high School I went to the Alberta College of Art, with plans of becoming a commercial artist.
Things change! After completing my first year in college I was offered a position in the graphic department at the Hudson Bay Company in Calgary. What fun!
While at The Bay I met my husband on the slopes of Norquay up in Banff, Alberta. We married and started to raise our family of three, two girls, and one boy.
I continued to draw and took evening life drawing classes up at the Banff Centre. Once our young son was in grade four I opened Mount Cory Frames. From the frame shop I started the most wonderful career journey one could ever have had. I was offered a job at the local newspaper, The Banff Crag & Canyon. While I was there I tackled editorial cartoons. Oh boy…what fun I had. Freelancing on the weekends I became one of the The Crag’s editorial artists editorializing the many contentious issues which graced the Crag’s pages. I kept up the cartooning until I became the Publisher. While the Publisher I still dabbled in a little art and began a new creative journey!…creating character dolls.
After leaving the Crag I went to SAIT in Calgary for a few graphic courses.
I now work part-time at Banff's only local print company, Unicom Graphics and still playing with dolls, illustrating, and creating other handmade items .

"Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun."
