About

When I was a teenager in Virginia, my favorite shop in the world was down on the Occoquan River. It was run by a wonderful woman who became a mentor, friend, and truly a spiritual grandmother. Her shop was called Woman's Wish and was a business which supported only female artisans or partnered with woman-owned companies. Arlene opened the shop in her retirement years and every time someone new came through her door, she still smiled and wished them welcome with the same joy as the first day she opened her shop.

Arlene was the first person to buy my jewelry when I started delving into the craft in my late teens and she always encouraged the women she would meet (both young and old) to find their joy and live it.

Arlene passed away several years ago, and when I decided it was time to put out a shingle of my own, there was nothing else I could think of to name my shop than Woman's Wish in honor of the wonderful legacy she began on that quiet river.

The shop is primarily where I host my jewelry, though there will be other offerings available from time to time as I make aromatherapy bath salts and oils and also want to share some of the marvelous crystals that cross my path every now and again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my shop- I hope you find something that you love! Thank you for supporting independent design and this woman's wish!

Namaste,
Jules
