Barbara Gail Lewis' Profile

About

Great attention to detail is what separates Barbara Gail's from other lampshade makers. I thoroughly enjoy designing and creating new lamps and lampshades and have made over 26,000 lampshades and going strong. My Mom showed me how to make one cut and pierced lampshade in 1990, and that was all I needed to fall in love with this true hand made craft. Coming from a creative family, it didn't take long for me to teach myself the art of lampshade making. From there the next step to opening my own business was an easy one. Barbara Gail's Lamps became an official business in 1994. My unique line of lamps and lampshades are in thousands of homes including former U.S. Presidents, famous actors and singers and they can be in your home too! Please take a look at my site and I am sure there is a lamp or lampshade you would love to add to your home!

I must note that my bio says I joined Etsy in 2008--while that date is when I signed up for Etsy--I actually was so busy making lamps that I had forgotten I signed up. In Dec 2012 I rediscovered the Etsy marketplace and low and behold I already had an account!
So in January 2013, is really the first time I began posting pictures and selling my lamps and lamp shades online. Etsy is a wonderful marketplace full of talented people.
