About

I hatched this evil plan when I moved to Italy in 2007 and, without a visa, wasn't able to work. Suffice it to say, I kept myself very busy making all sorts of things!

My husband works as a chef and we both share an untamable passion for all things culinary, spending a lot of time learning from each other and thriving off one another's creativity and resourcefulness in the kitchen. I was a happy, healthy Vegan living in one of the least Vegan-savvy countries in the world, but nonetheless, one of the most beautiful and inspiring-- Italy! Being that people there believe you to be either a.) sick, or b.) possessed when you ask for a meal without meat or cheese, I had spent a great deal of my time creating our own kitchen, which sparked my desire and need for fun, stylish aprons!

I aim to promote what I feel to be my two most important lifestyle choices to everyone I meet: 1.) Express your style! 2.) Do all that you can to broaden your culinary prowess...especially through exploring a cruelty free diet!

Being vegan (going on 4 years, now!) has fortified both of these efforts for me-- in keeping my closet (including what I like to call "culinary fashions") cruelty free, and in expanding my kitchen repetoire to encompass new techniques, and fresh, healthy and delicious flavors!

Of course, much in life is improved when you know you look great. And I've discovered that creating in the kitchen becomes a much more creative process when you are surrounded by vibrant, colorful, and all around FUN things! So, I would like to share with everyone my vivid little creations in hopes that they'll inspire vegan and omnivorous chefs, alike, to try something a little bit daring the next time they step into the kitchen! Whether you're a serious culinary genius, or just a weekend warrior foodie, whether you eat alone or entertain 7 nights a week, why not treat yourself to a colorful, stylish, and not to mention, cruelty-free and socially conscious apron? Who knew an apron could offer so much??

All of my aprons are handmade to order, vintage reproduction style. Since each item is hand made (with the help of my trusty vintage kenmore sewing machine beast), each one is unique and no two will ever be exactly alike! I like to think of each order as an opportunity to showcase my hard work and creativity and also to inform people a little bit about my choice to be vegan. Don't worry, no preachy diatribes...just a delicious Vegan recipe for you to try included in each shipment! Trust me, they're SO tasty!

If you're interested in customizing an apron, I would be glad to help- just convo me and we'll work it all out!

Until then, I am very much looking forward to changing the way you look at aprons!
Stay Crafty,
-Bashley
