About

Since I was 6 and wrote in my Brownie book that I liked to make things I have been busy doing just that. Over time, I have dabbled and become obsessed with many different crafty activities. I began dyeing things about 15 years ago as a way of making the rugs and quilts I was creating more my own.

BaT'at Hand Dyed Yarns was born from this same desire. The name comes from a song about Ilkley Moor, a local beauty spot. Since the Leeds area is well known for spinning and dyeing some of my current yarn bases are spun here. Finally, BaT'at Hand Dyed yarns really are dyed on a farm and when the weather permits dried in the Yorkshire sunshine.

I hope you enjoy my yarns. If you don't see what you are looking for please contact me.

Thank you.
