My name is Erhan. I've been born and lived in İstanbul my whole life. Bathing and hamams have always been an important part of Turkish society since the Ottoman times. I produce and sell Turkish traditional peshtemals and bath towels which are part of this bath culture. Peshtemals now are also used on beaches, and at homes during summer time since regular towels are too thick for hot weather.
Having started weaving as a hobby, then I wanted to turn this art into an income venue for myself, which I believe will also help it be known all around the world and also is a dedication to my grand grandfather who introduced me to the art. After using my aunt's loom for some time, I got my own and still use to this day.
